नैनीताल। हाई कोर्ट ने सरकार को निर्देश दिये हैं कि सभी सरकारी अस्पतालों में सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाएं जाएं। कोर्ट ने सरकार से यह भी पूछा है कि वह बतायें कि प्रदेश के सरकारी अस्पतालों में चिकित्सकों व अन्य कर्मचारियों के कितने पद खाली हैं। इस मामले में अगली सुनवाई 25 सितम्बर को होगी।
न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति बीके बिष्ट व न्यायमूर्ति लोकपाल सिंह की खंडपीठ ने हल्द्वानी के नरेश मैंदोला की जनहित याचिका पर सुनवाई के बाद ये निर्देश जारी किये हैं। याचिकाकर्ता की ओर से कहा गया कि हल्द्वानी स्थित सुशीला तिवारी मेडिकल कालेज में तीन हफ्ते में नौ बच्चों की मौत हो गयी थी। बच्चों की मौत चिकित्सकों के अभाव में हुई हैं।
मामले को सुनने के बाद पीठ ने आज सरकार से पूछा है कि सरकारी अस्पतालों में चिकित्सकों व अन्य कर्मचारियों के कितने पद खाली हैं। पीठ ने सरकार को इस संबंध में दो सप्ताह में एक शपथ पत्र पेश करने को कहा है। पीठ ने यह भी कहा कि सरकार ने रिक्त पदों को भरने के लिये क्या क्या प्रयास किये हैं, शपथ पत्र में यह भी बतायें। पीठ ने सभी सरकारी अस्पतालों के इमरजेंसी, ओपीडी व पर्चा बनाने वाले कक्षों में सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाये जाएं।
